Training team
Our trainers and facilitators comprises highly skilled and experienced Master Trainers and Professional Facilitators who are driven by their passion to make a difference. Drawn from across South Africa these professionals bring with them local knowledge and global expertise. Our trainers are drawn from the ranks of Nurses, Social Workers, Educators and HR training specialists.
Most of them are multilingual – speaking many of the official languages of South Africa including isiZulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans, English, Tswana and Sesotho and many of our programmes have been facilitated in the language appropriate to the target audience.
Master Trainers
Wildflower Project’s team of exceptional Master Trainers work exclusively with our Train-the-Trainer projects. These Specialist Facilitators support training initiatives undertaken by organisations and government departments by assisting to upskill groups of trainers from within organisations. Their brief is to ensure the internal training resources are adequately prepared and skilled to undertake internal rollouts of training projects. In this way client independence is developed and project sustainability has a far greater chance. Our Master Trainers are highly skilled and boast extensive qualifications. As Independent Contractors, they are trained to offer various products ranging from executive coaching and management training on an array of soft skills to community engagement and training.
Professional Trainers
Wildflower Projects (WFP) has a remarkable cadre of approximately 100 highly committed and exclusively trained and Professional Trainers (PTs). Our PTs earn the title of “professional” because each of them has a tertiary qualification that is backed up by a wealth of life and training experience. These trainers have been exposed to intensive training in the rollout of the Integrated Community Caregivers’ Foundation Course as well as the Phila Mntwana Train-the trainer course. They’ve been trained to use assessment tools to assess trainees at a theoretical as well as practical level and to conduct post training assessments. Their commitment has been tested time and again as they’ve accepted assignments to train in the most challenging conditions ranging from training in deep rural areas , driving daily to assignments that require them to awaken at 4am, drive in treacherous mountain terrain for two hours , train all day and return to their accommodation at 6pm each day – sometimes for 20 consecutive days. Their combined knowledge, skills, practical competence and unparalleled commitment is a credit to themselves and to Wildflower Projects. Over and above their exposure to training Community Caregivers is the expertise that each of them carries which ranges from HIV and AIDS knowledge and skills to First Aid, Home-based Care and many other diverse fields.
